Job Description

Purpose:

Provides technical services in the radiology department

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs and maintains quality assurance of radiographic examinationsCares for as well as operates necessary equipmentMaintains cleanliness of x-ray processorDemonstrates proper usage of radiographic equipment within state and federal guidelinesProperly handles and maintains radiographic cassettes/ Digital Plates: consistently utilizes proper techniques and procedures, ensures protection of all CR and DR platesMaintains cleanliness of all work areasMaintains a supply of clean laundry: sends out all soiled laundry weekly, and assumes responsibility for receiving clean laundry; distributes clean laundry to appropriate areasMaintains an organized file of all radiographic materialsPlaces orders for all supplies and equipment as needed to maintain adequate stock, utilizing principles of cost effectivenessPursues ongoing continuing education: maintain...
