Job Description

Core WordPress Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of WordPress core architecture (hooks, filters, REST API, database schema).
  • Multisite setup & management – domain mapping, shared users, centralized vs. brand-specific themes.
  • Theme & Plugin architecture – ability to build enterprise-grade custom themes/plugins that comply with WP VIP coding standards.
  • Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) / Gutenberg – designing flexible, scalable content models.

    • WP VIP Hosting Knowledge

  • Familiarity with WordPress VIP platform (VIP Go, VIP CLI, and CI/CD pipelines).
  • Code review and performance standards – strong grasp of WordPress Coding Standards (PHPCS), linting, and VIP Go requirements.
  • Caching strategies – page/object caching, Advanced Post Cache, Redis, and VIP’s built-in caching layers.
    Security compliance – secure coding practices, restricted plugins, data handling, GDPR compliance.
