Job Description

Position Summary

: Interactions of organisms with each other and with the environment in the ongoing process of evolution by natural selection are examined in the context of the interplay of form with function – for bacteria and fungi, for plants and animals, for individuals and populations, and for communities and ecosystems.Β MajorΒ topics include regulation, homeostasis, growth and development, reproduction, and adaptation.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Describe the properties of life, homeostasis, growth and development, reproduction, and adaptation and interactions among organisms.

  • Describe various mechanisms of evolution and the diversity of life.
