Job Description
(West Gov Hospital!) Emergency Trained Dept Senior Staff Nurse (ED Trained) (Up 6K) #HJC
- Triage each patient and determine priority of care based on assessment of physical, psychological and social needs.
- Perform focused patient assessment of chief complaint, medical history and medications to ascertain history and medical condition in a timely manner and according to established triage guidelines.
- Provide safe, patient education care whilst observing patient comfort.
- Monitor patient assessments at regular/frequent intervals and document care and assessments accordingly.
- Assist clinicians during physical examinations, diagnostic testing and treatments of patients.
- Initiate corrective action timely when patient’s condition or information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
- Assist with CPR and other emergency treatment and stabilise patients’ condition in collaboration with the physician.
