**Job Scope:**

+ Weld heavy structural plate
+ Weld flat, vertical, and overhead positions
+ Read blueprints and weld procedures
+ Fabricate and assemble weld projects
+ Measure welds accurately
+ Perform air carbon arc gouging
+ Use cutting torches and beveling material
+ Grind and prepare components
+ Follow AWS welding procedures
+ Read blueprints and welding drawings
+ Understand AWS welding symbols and terminology
+ Follow Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)
