Job DescriptionJob SummaryDelivers Nursing Care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families/support person to understand patient conditions, medications, and self-care skills; noting changing conditions and needs; re-evaluating care objectives. The RN on the Obstetric Unit will be trained in postpartum care and at the request of the OB nurse manager may be requested to cross-train to the following: L&D, Well Baby, Float, NICU, IBCLC, CLC, and/or Maternal Fetal MedicineEssential Functions

Assures quality care by adhering to professional standards, healthcare organization policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and The Joint Commission standards

Maintains cooperative relationships among healthcare team members
