The Water Balance Modeller supports Aurecon’s commitment to shaping a sustainable and resilient future by delivering robust, data-driven water balance and flood modelling solutions. The role applies climate data analysis and advanced hydrologic and hydraulic modelling to inform safe, sustainable and client-focused outcomes across infrastructure, energy and mining projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform statistical analysis of climate data such as rainfall, evaporation and streamflow.
• Calibrate rainfall‑runoff models of various waterways using the Australian Water Balance Model (AWBM).
• Develop, calibrate and simulate water balance models.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic (1D/2D) modelling to assess flooding on linear infrastructure and various energy and mining projects.
• Prepare inputs for technical reports and other documentation relevant to project submission.
