**Description**

**Supervises a shop or group with day-to-day maintenance tasks on assigned rotary and fixed wing aircraft, equipment and machinery under an RDT&E program. Applies professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures’ manuals.**

**Job Duties & Responsibilities:**

+ Coordinates and supervises activities of personnel, determining and directing specific work assignments.
+ Assists in the operations of the maintenance departments per the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series.
+ Ensures full and effective employment of assigned personnel.
+ Ensures all work is scheduled and performed in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Responsible for compliance of special programs as assigned. Ensures direct reports are fully compliant with all approved procedures.
