College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) invites applications for the Ngiam Family Visiting Professorship in Chinese Studies/Studies of China at the rank of Full Professor. The Ngiam Family Visiting Professorship, established in 2024, seeks to attract outstanding scholars/professors of Chinese Studies/Studies of China to pursue and develop advanced research at CoHASS, NTU Singapore. Each year the research focus will change to ensure that NTU maintains sustained global engagement with a wide range of cutting-edge projects relating to China. The Ngiam Family Professorship is supported by a generous endowment from Mr Ngiam Tong Yuen and his family.

The Visiting Full Professor in Chinese Studies/Studies of China is expected to teach where possible and advise/mentor junior faculty. The proposed visiting period for this engagement is 2 months.
