UPMC Corporate Health Services is hiring a Virtual Safety Attendant to join our team! This role will work at the Forbes Tower in Oakland. This Casual role will work varied days, which could include weekends and holidays. This position will have shifts that consist of four-, eight-, ten- and twelve-hour shifts. The candidate will work hours based on department needs as well as their availability. The candidate will work twelve hours per six-week scheduling period.

Provides continuous virtual observation of assigned patients in accordance with established policies and procedures. The virtual Safety Attendant (VSA) serves as a critical member of the care team by monitoring patients via secured audio-visual technology to reduce risk and enhance safety. This role does not involve hands-on patient care and focuses exclusively on virtual monitoring, verbal intervention, and timely escalation. The VSA adheres to all institutional safety, privacy, and professionalism standards.
