The Virtual Propulsion Engineer (VPE) will be responsible for leading program execution and capability development initiatives related to gearbox design, analysis, and product development for automotive applications. This role will collaborate cross-functionally to drive technical excellence, innovation, and delivery of high-performance gear solutions aligned with propulsion system requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
**Led finite element analysis** of structural components and systems, developing meshes, defining loads and boundary conditions, and interpreting stress, displacement, and durability results to guide design decisions.
Experience performing structural, fatigue, durability, and stiffness analysis for propulsion or rotating components.
Strong understanding of mechanics of materials, structural behavior, fatigue, and failure modes.
