Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Anaesthesia & Patient Care
- Perform general anaesthesia for companion animals, including exotic species (birds, rabbits, etc.).
- Assess animals pre-operatively by reviewing medical history and evaluating health status for anaesthesia suitability.
- Prepare and calculate accurate doses of anaesthetic drugs under veterinarian instructions.
- Assist in induction, maintenance, and recovery of animals under anaesthesia.
- Monitor vital signs during anaesthesia using multiparameter monitors and report abnormalities.
- Implement corrective measures as directed by veterinarians to ensure patient safety.
- Ensure smooth post-anaesthesia recovery, administer prescribed pain relief, and provide comfort to animals.
