Responsibilities

• Perform safe and effective physical, chemical and behavioural restraint on patients.


• Diagnose medical conditions using a wide range of diagnostic modalities available, including clinical pathology (haematology, biochemistry, endocrinology, immunology), diagnostic imaging (radiography, ultrasonography, computed tomography), microbiology, cytology and more.


• Formulate treatment or management plans for individual and herd/flock health.


• Perform basic soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries.


• Perform invasive and non-invasive endoscopic procedures.


• Practice evidence-based medicine that is pragmatic for the animals.


• Perform basic laboratory tests.


• Present cases and communicate opinions effectively at various forums.
