SHIPS OPERATOR

REQUIREMENTS

• A matric (Grade 12) level of education as a minimum
• Related industry experience essential / At least 3 years operational experience
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of vessel operations and handling of bulk exports are essential
• A superior level of English literacy and numeracy is essential
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• IPMS proficient
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic foundational with commercial shipping knowledge as it pertains to Port Agency requirements
• Ability to interact and liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
• Customer service oriented
• Ability to work under pressure and additional hours/weekends
• Driven, energetic and willing to learn
• Meticulous, accurate and conscientious
• Valid Code 08 Drivers License
