Job Description

The role

We’re excited to offer an excellent opportunity to join our dedicated Fire Safety team as a Fire Safety Surveyor. In this role, you will take the lead in overseeing fire risk assessment activities across Southern Housing’s portfolio. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that all designated fire risk assessment works are actioned and correctly undertaken within the prescribed timescales.
  • Ensuring that all Southern Housing’s properties owned and managed properties are maintained to the highest possible standards and that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Analysing and assessing building fire safety related defects and deficiencies, providing remedial proposals and prepare specifications for remedial works. 
  • Carrying out post inspection/quality control checks on works and pursuing any necessary redress to achieve satisfactory completion.
