**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

**Position Summary:**

Operates dish washing machine and performs manual washing of pots and pans. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of overall kitchen equipment and floors.

The person in this position is expected to know and support the mission and values of Dominican Oaks, and to apply the Dominican Oaks philosophy while performing daily job tasks. The person in this position must be able to work, communicate and cooperate with others and perform the following duties with little or no supervision.

+ Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks.
+ Washes pots, pans and trays after meal preparation and serving.
+ Operates dish washing machine.
+ Returns clean items to proper location.
+ Utilizes cleaning supplies within budgetary guidelines.
+ Collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers.
