Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
As a Utility Billing Clerk for the City of Blue Springs, you will perform general customer service and cashier duties pertaining to Utility payments.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Handles processes involved in payments and collections for water and sewer accounts.
+ Reviews cash receipts, vouchers, invoices, online bill payment processing, credit card, customer service orders, customer information, and other documents for accuracy.
+ Post online incoming electronic payments and reports.
+ Balances all cash received and prepares deposits on a daily basis.
+ Establishes and closes accounts.
+ Receives and resolves customer inquiries and complaints.
+ This position may perform voter registration duties.
+ Performs other tasks as assigned by Utility Billing Supervisor.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
