PURPOSE

The Utilities Engineer directs the overall operation and maintenance of the systems involved in production and distribution of all plant utilities such as but not limited to (ammonia refrigeration, steam, chilled water, glycol, natural gas, domestic water, electrical, HVAC, fire protection, and sanitary sewer systems). This position is responsible for maintaining all regulatory and compliance related permitting along with implementation of safety standards as they relate to plant utilities. This position reports directly to the Plant Engineering Manager and works in tandem with the Maintenance Manager/s, Wastewater Manager, and Reliability Engineering Manager to maintain all Daisy Brand Wooster assets. He/she also maintains a safe work environment by auditing all relevant procedures to ensure compliance with HACCP, USDA, FSMA, OSHA and EPA guidelines.
