**About Team:** Join the team powering Walmart’s Checkout platform, where every millisecond and every transaction matters. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will build and scale mission-critical payment orchestration services that support order submission, payment authorization, and the integration of new payment methods across millions of daily transactions.

**What you'll do:**

+ Design and build high-availability Java/Spring Boot microservices that power checkout payment flows.
+ Implement and evolve payment orchestration logic, including order submission and authorization routing to downstream payment providers.
+ Integrate and support new payment methods (wallets, BNPL, card types, etc.) in a scalable, extensible architecture.
+ Develop and maintain REST APIs with strong emphasis on performance, idempotency, and resiliency.
