The University of Mines and Technology hereby invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of University Librarian to take effect from 1st August, 2023.

The Position

• The University Librarian is the Head of the University Library System and shall be responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the administration and coordination of the entire University Library System which consists of the Main Library, as well as Faculties and Schools Libraries.

Qualification Required & Experience

Candidate must have:

• A minimum of a Master’s degree in Library Studies/Library Science/Information Studies, with at least 10 years post-qualification experience in a University Library or analogous institutions;

• Served as substantive Deputy Librarian in a university or analogous institution;
