A large retailer is looking for Transportation Specialists to support their equipment and asset management team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with full autonomy as a “business owner” or “project manager” of sorts over your specific program(s). You will get to work with other teams/divisions as well as senior leadership from time to time. On a daily basis, you will be responsible for managing a variety of tasks and projects working with anyone in the transportation field or in retail stores. Examples of these tasks/projects include: if there is a site with too many trailers running out of yard space, you will coordinate with those drivers and gatekeepers to ensure yards stay fluid. You could be troubleshooting issues with a driver, evaluating scheduling or labor issues, working with carrier managers, supporting another department’s equipment request(s), etc. While there are some standard processes established, this role requires strong ownership...
