Job Overview Toromont is seeking a Legal Counsel who will be an active contributor to Toromont’s Legal Team, providing strategic legal, regulatory and compliance advice across public company, corporate/commercial, M&A and governance matters.

Responsibilities

Provide corporate/commercial legal support including employment and operational issues, acquisitions, financings, regulatory and other key matters that impact Toromont’s many lines of business.

Review, negotiate and draft a substantial amount of commercial contracts, including procurement, supply, services, real estate, sales and vendor agreements.

Coordinate and assist in due diligence processes, public company filings, and claims management support and resolution.

Strategically identify key legal and business risks while providing pragmatic solutions and efficient, invaluable legal advice to the business.
