**Tool Room Attendant**

**Job Description**

This role supports a growing day-shift machine shop by managing all cutting tools, holders, inserts, gauges, and shop tooling from the tool crib. The Tool Room Attendant ensures that machinists receive complete, properly prepared tool sets on time, maintains accurate inventory, and helps minimize machine downtime through organized, proactive tooling management.

**Responsibilities**

+ Manage all cutting tools, holders, inserts, gauges, and shop tooling from the tool crib to support daily production needs.
+ Run and operate a shrink setter machine to prepare and assemble tooling as required.
+ Pick, kit, and stage complete tool sets for jobs based on routers, setup sheets, or CAM-generated tool lists.
+ Issue tools to machinists, receive returned tools, and track usage, wear, and replacements to ensure availability.
