JOB SUMMARY: The Tool Maker I is responsible for learning and performing a variety of assigned manual duties to build, repair and maintain production tools, dies and fixtures for the operation of Indium machinery. Work is largely directed and work is performed under close or general supervision.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):

• Set up and operate machine tools, such as lathes, milling machine, sharpeners, and grinder, to fashion tooling

• Lubricate machines and maintain department equipment as necessary to create required tooling

• Complete all required documentation to track work, record scrap, and maintain the accuracy of completed parts and required inventory

• Perform simple sharpening, CAD, and welding operations when necessary

• Work with and manipulate different tooling with minimal scrapped parts

• Work with other support tools such as mics, gauges, lathes, dies and hand tools
