SUMMARY

The Tool & Die Maker operates various computer-controlled and mechanically controlled machine tools to produce precision parts, fixtures, instruments, tools, and machinery.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Performs work safely and per company safety policies and work instructions.
  • Converts raw materials into finished products.
  • Operates tool room lathes, surface grinders, milling machines, etc., to safely produce parts to blueprint dimensions.
  • Notifies supervisor of any tooling or supplies that need to be ordered or processed by an outside source.
  • Maintains toolroom equipment and notifies the supervisor of any necessary repairs or maintenance that requires parts or the attention of a more qualified technician.
  • Supports all manufacturing and engineering groups by making tooling, fixtures, and automated equipment on time and printing according to engineering drawing...
