The RN will work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other members of the SU Health Services team to provide comprehensive clinical care for students’ illnesses, injuries, immunizations and health education needs. Commonly performed clinical duties include obtaining vital signs and patient histories, physical assessment of the student, medication administration and injection, IV insertion/maintenance, specimen collection, telephone triage and in-person triage, sexual health screening and health education. In addition to the clinical duties, laboratory responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen collection and point-of-care testing. The RN will be a per diem position reporting directly to the Nurse Manager. The Barnes Center at The Arch is open Monday through Friday 830a-5p and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm on a rotational basis.
