There is a strategic and critical need to understand how IT services and assets translate into chargeable components—such as the timing differences between monthly recurring charges (typically billed in advance), usage-based services (often billed in arrears), and software licensing, which frequently involves prorated charges that may not align precisely with purchase orders.
