Technician – ICU/ Critical Care, Veterinary Medical Centre

Primary Purpose

As an ICU/Critical Care Technician, you will ensure that an optimum level of patient care is maintained 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week. This position functions between the areas of critical care, medicine, surgery, triage and radiology.

Nature of Work

Reporting to the Manager Health Services, this position functions on a rotational basis providing coverage during the day, evening, weekend and statutory holidays between critical care, medicine, surgery, triage and radiology. Animal handling and manipulations are constant. This position works in an animal facility with small and large animals exposing employees to dander, waste and unpredictability; it requires lifting, moving, cleaning; subject to unpleasant odours and dress code, traffic pattern restrictions.
