Flender South Africa is seeking a Mechanical Draughtsperson to join our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities Drawing Preparation & Accuracy: create accurate and detailed drawings for repair and service procedures, assembly drawings, and bill of materials. Calculate gear parameters such as module, pitch, pressure angle, gear ratios, tooth strength, contact stress, and load distribution to ensure optimal performance and durability. Measure or calculate detail of geared components for manufacture and foundation loadings of drive packs. Ensure that all outputs from the Drawing Department conform to required technical standards and specifications. Re‑engineer gearbox components. Collaborate with repair technicians and engineers to interpret drawings and specifications for repair processes. Revise drawings as necessary based on real‑time feedback from the repair process.
