Job Description

Technical Data Consultant - 3 Month Contract
Up to £550 P/D Outside IR35
Manchester - Hybrid (x2 days a week)

We're recruiting on behalf of a well‑established gambling and gaming organisation seeking a Technical Data Consultant to support a focused discovery and documentation engagement.

This is a hands‑on contract for someone who enjoys stepping into complex, legacy‑leaning data environments and making them understandable, supportable, and less reliant on individual knowledge.

The role

You'll be brought in to:

  • Investigate and reverse‑engineer live data platforms with limited documentation
  • Build a clear picture of the current‑state data architecture and data flows
  • Review and document business‑critical SQL and transformation logic
  • Produce practical operational documentation and runbooks
  • Work closely with long‑tenured engineers to capture knowledge and reduce key‑person risk
