- Take full ownership of our core backend applications, defining and communicating a “north star” for a scalable, performant architecture capable of handling complex business logic.
- Guide the team through complex technical challenges, like rewriting a large-scale, custom-built middleware, by breaking projects down into incremental, manageable steps.
- Partner with the Product Lead to balance the roadmap between mission-critical business features and technical goals such as reducing technical debt and moving toward standardized technologies.
- Challenge business requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure both technical sustainability and commercial value are addressed.
- Mentor and coach Backend Engineers to simplify system complexity while growing their skills and advancing their careers.
