**UNC REX Emergency Department** features 54 beds, including an 8-bed non-designated holding area with private rooms specifically designed to support behavioral health patients. The department is equipped with 2 major resuscitation rooms, triage rooms for initial assessment, an on-site radiology suite, and a decontamination room.

Our dedicated ED team provides care for a full spectrum of patient needs—from life-threatening emergencies and acute medical conditions to minor injuries and behavioral health concerns.
