Responsibilities

• Planning and preparing courses and lessons.
• Teaching pupils according to educational needs, including setting and marking work.
• Assessing, recording and reporting on pupil development, progress and attainment.
• Promoting pupil progress and well‑being and providing advice on educational and social matters.
• Recording and reporting personal and social needs of pupils.
• Communicating and consulting with parents and external bodies.
• Participating in meetings and professional development schemes.
• Maintaining good order, discipline, health and safety of pupils.
• Participating in arrangements for public examinations and related supervision.
• Co‑ordinating or managing work of other teachers and contributing to curriculum, organisation and pastoral functions.
• Providing staff development and performance review.
