**Duties**:** * Teach academic classes as assigned by supervisor including Reading, Writing, Math. Science and Social Studies,*with a strength in ESL, Special Education and low literacy students preferred. * * Utilize research-based practices, current instructional methods, and current materials to ensure effective instruction. * Possess the ability to teach in a correctional setting and interact with an adult incarcerated population with possible medical, psychosocial, or educational deficits. * Work with the Education Division and administration staff to deliver specialized instruction in a secure setting. * Responsible for completing student attendance daily and updating student case plan as required by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including the awarding of Earned Good Time and completing performance ratings on time each month and time sensitive documentation for program completion as directed in SOP. * Responsible for completing the required 40 hours of training within the ...
