Tarnopol Lab – Junior Specialist Department of Microbiology & Immunology The Tarnopol Lab is seeking a highly motivated full‐time Junior Specialist to join our group. The Tarnopol Lab studies protein toxin function and evolution at the host‐pathogen interface to understand how these molecules mediate disease and immunity. We use naturally occurring insect‐pathogen systems as models. Successful candidates will contribute to research projects developing natural pathogen systems in Drosophila and/or developing high‐throughput mutagenesis techniques in Drosophila. An exceptional candidate will lead their own independent project, develop new ideas, and be familiar with the literature, where appropriate. Additionally, the specialist will be expected to assist with managing day‐to‐day lab operations, perform general lab duties, and be a positive lab citizen.
