Job Description
Amentum is seeking a Operations & Maintenance Electronics or SONAR Technician to work aboard government operated Surveillance Towed Array Sensory System (SURTASS) asset operating at sea. Technicians will be on a 6 month on and 3 month off rotating mission.
As a member of the SURTASS Operation Center (SOC) and the SURTASS team, you will be responsible for the following:
Perform operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting on all SURTASS mission equipment in accordance with Periodic Maintenance Schedule (PMS) and other reference documents in support of fleet requirements.
Opportunity to work on SHF SATCOM Communications, Processing, Passive and Active Arrays and other supporting systems.
Complete basic qualified in SURTASS Operation Center and Array Operation positions and participate in the deployment and retrieval of Tow Arrayed evolutions and all other SURTASS operations.
