General Summary:
Assess, prep, and perform tissue recovery, packaging, and labeling of tissues using sterile technique according to accrediting agencies and processors standards. Coordinates the scheduling of operating rooms, ensuring sufficient and appropriate materials and supplies. Primarily coordinates all facets of a tissue recovery case following authorization and donor screening. Coordinates allocation of staff and resources, perfusion packaging, and arranging transport of donor and tissue. Ensures all documentation is complete during and following the tissue recovery. Assists with training Recovery Specialists. Participates in research projects. This position requires 12-hour shifts and is required to work extended periods when needed, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
