Job Description

The Surgery Ward Technician accompanies a clinician through the duties of patient care during the course of each work shift, while updating the medical record in real time and clinician reports when applicable. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist with creating templates for discharges; Assisting in surgery: scrub in for surgeries, as needed; When not scrubbed in assist faculty or resident with documenting surgical procedures. Attach all medical record info to the EzyVet file - examples: rDVM records, follow-up emails and photos. Title the medical records in EzyVet. Update the Master Problem Lists (MPL) - use histopathology reports. - Contact owners to schedule/sign consent forms for clinical studies. Provides technical support to clinical faculty and senior veterinary students in the surgical section of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, including ward and treatment room management, administering treatments and ...
