**Description**



Oversees and maintains the flow and balance of work in the Security Department. Responsible for providing leadership, direction, and a working environment that promotes teamwork and customer satisfaction, and for ensuring that the standards of service are met for the Security department in a manner consistent with SMC's/EDM's mission, vision and values. Persons holding this position must be able to perform all of the duties and functions of a Security Officer, including initial incident response, interviewing and investigations. This position may be required to work on multiple campuses and shifts. Acts as a resource and expert in Security matters for other departments or individuals and in committees.
