Function of Position:
This position will work cooperatively with TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) staff to positively impact the academic experience of new and existing students. The student success advocate will support project goals by providing one-on-one and group coaching to SSS program participants, developing and executing workshops, connecting students to campus resources, and other duties as assigned.
*This is a temporary, grant funded position.
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Help students understand and use effective reading and learning strategies.
+ Assist students needing intensive study skills and reading help in a myriad of subjects.
+ Help students identify and overcome obstacles that may be impeding academic success.
