Position Overview

The Selkirk Mental Health Centre (SMHC) is a 252‑bed facility that provides specialized inpatient mental health and acquired brain injury treatment and rehabilitation services to residents of Manitoba and Nunavut. SMHC has five specialized patient programs: Acute, Geriatric, Rehabilitation, Forensic and Acquired Brain Injury. The facility operates in a campus‑like setting with several buildings located throughout the property and three off‑site community group homes in Selkirk.

SMHC operates a warehouse of over 2000 products. The storekeeper is responsible for unpacking, moving, pulling goods from shelves, maintaining the warehouse clean, accurately recording inventory movements and collaborating with coworkers and managers. The role requires physical strength, mobility and stamina, as well as the ability to operate a pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
