Sterile Services Technician ensures that all products received in Sterile Services, Medical Disinfection Unit and Sterile Services Endoscopy Unit are dismantled, cleaned, disinfected, re‑assembled, inspected, packed and sterilised according to the department's quality systems, work instruction documents, and to ensure that all products leaving SSD are fit for purpose.

The post holder may be required to work in a flexible manner or on rota in order to achieve the overall objectives of the department and to perform other duties that commensurate with this grade.

Shift Pattern : Monday to Friday 18:00-02:00 & 21:00-05:00

• To receive, inspect, dismantle, clean, disinfect, re‑assemble, pack, sterilise and distribute medical devices, procedure packs and raw materials, checking quality at each stage.
