Job Summary:

Performs variety of office/clerical duties to assure proper staffing and scheduling of inpatient nursing units. Maintains staffing information in multiple scheduling/staffing databases. Works with local temporary nurse agencies as staffing resource. Audits timecards of inpatient staff every other week using the automated time reporting system.

Essential Responsibilities:



+ Receives acuity information from all nursing units. Inputs same into computer. Processes and evaluates results of input to determine staffing needs.

+ Identifies staffing shortages. Takes appropriate action to resolve. Calls and schedules staff as required.

+ Receives staffing calls. Apprises appropriate unit or shift supervisor of pertinent information and action taken.

+ Maintains current employee information on automated scheduling/staffing database.
