Job Description
**Description**
The Staff Cables Engineer will work on project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of projects, including underground, trenchless, and/or submarine power cable lines. The Staff Cable Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting power line plans to meet budget constraints, design requirements, and client needs.
+ Performs cable design for projects from the conceptual phase through design completion, including routing, duct bank design, conductor selection, splice vault design, cost estimating, and termination structure coordination.
+ Modifies and reviews power line components based on project needs and client requirements.
+ Prepares materials necessary for cable construction: technical specifications and data sheets, Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations.
