Job Description
Responsibilities
- The Senior Planning Engineer, in association with the resident engineer, shall develop the Project execution plan considering proper engineering techniques and milestone sequences for the Project.
- He will set targets for activities based on each project activity and ensure they meet DM’s specifications and requirements.
- Planning engineers shall estimate timescales and costs using specialized design software packages such as Primavera.
- One of the major roles is to monitor day‑to‑day work progress for the Project and provide accurate weekly and monthly reports, swiftly communicating potential progress delays or project slippages.
- Tracking and analyzing field results is another key responsibility.
- Planning engineers continually compare planned and actual progress and report any differences to the lead project manager.
- He also studies the impact of alternative approaches.
