OVERVIEW

Provides quality laboratory testing in the Core Lab/Hematology by observing the highest standards of accuracy, efficiency and safety according to established procedures and policies (IQMH Standards). Ensures that the MLT's and Lab Technicians in the Core Lab/Hematology department of Lab Medicine adhere to the above standards. Maintains open lines of communication with the Managers of Lab Medicine, staff in other lab areas and clinical areas. Maintains and updates procedure manuals and teaching/training material.

EDUCATION

• Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technologist program
• Current active registration with CMLTO is required
• Advanced certification with the CSMLS in Hematology or equivalent preferred

QUALIFICATIONS
