The Head Failure Analysis group supports Released Product Team organizations across the globe, providing analysis results of head failure to the concern team to take action for yield improvement. The Head Failure Analysis unit is located in the US, China, and Thailand. About the role - you will:
. Own and execute failure analysis using Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), Focused Ion Beam (FIB) cross-sectioning, HDD electrical testing, and material/composition analysis to verify failure mechanisms and drive root-cause actions for process and design improvement . Initiate and implement improved failure-analysis methods to increase capability, accuracy, and turnaround time for testing and investigations . Provide technical leadership and coaching to junior engineers and technicians to strengthen problem-solving skills and knowledge sharing .
