Job Description
Responsibilities
- Buyer responsible for the creation and execution of Purchasing Strategies on specific commodities.
- Cost management of products and services through research, quotes, pricing negotiation, and issuance of purchase orders.
- Manages all aspects of purchasing of parts and services while taking into account cost‑effective solutions.
- Develops budget estimates and forecasts for a specific commodity.
- Selects qualified suppliers and manufacturers and develops new supply sources of high dollar value, long lead time, critically needed parts, equipment, materials, or services.
- Maintain productive relationships with suppliers while obtaining best purchasing prices.
- At least 5 years of experience in purchasing.
- Automotive purchasing experience is desirable.
- Fluent in English.
