The Procurement Buyer provides category and strategic support to one of the majors spend categories.
This position is responsible to manage raw materials regionally.
This position typically reports to a Procurement Manager or Sr.
Procurement Manager.
Responsibilities Lead by example the regional and global safety and ethical initiatives.
- Manages day-to-day activities within designated supplier relationships for existing suppliers in their assigned categories.
- Manages service level and quality complaint resolution as required for existing supplier base.
- Identifies, communicates, and supports process improvements for materials or services in assigned areas and with key stakeholders as required.
- Uses Sourcing strategy processes and tools to effectively manage assigned sub-categories.
- Responsible for execution and proposing sourcing strategies and savings projects within assigned sub-categories.
