We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations for a commercial real estate environment in Newark, New Jersey. This role combines corporate accounting responsibilities with support and detailed work paper preparation, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both analytical work and day-to-day execution. The right candidate is proactive, comfortable working in a hands-on setting, and able to manage month-end activities with accuracy and urgency.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end close activities by preparing entries, reviewing account activity, and helping ensure timely financial reporting.

• Maintain the general ledger by recording transactions accurately and supporting the integrity of financial data across multiple accounts.

• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances to resolve discrepancies and keep records current.
